KRIS DEL VAYZE

SCORPIO

Birth date: October 31.

Job title: 7 foot tall Bitch (according to Jessica James); otherwise Drag Queen and director of Drags Aloud.

What’s the best thing about your job? Travelling around the world to perform, meeting so many people, and free drinks.

The worst thing about your job? Long flights with Jessica James snoring next to me, remembering the names of all the people I meet, and hangovers.

How/When did you come out? In reality, I guess there was never a closet big enough to keep me and my frocks in. The only person I ever actually ‘came out’ to was my father, over lunch, when I was 16.  He just smirked and said, “Well, there’s nothing I can do about that. Is there?”  There isn’t a day goes by that I don’t realise how lucky I was.

When are you most happy? Curled up in a sunny nook with a good book, or on stage performing.

What’s the last book you read? Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts – it’s a big book with lots of words, no pictures, and I couldn’t put it down!

What phrase do you hate the most? “We’ve run out of coffee.”

What’s something that people wouldn’t know about you? I know how to fly a plane.

What qualities do you most admire in another person? A strong personality. Oh, and the ability to make a good coffee.

Do you believe in your Stars? Every time I set foot on a stage I perform with stars and I believe in every one of them!
